Title:  President and Principal, St. Vincent Pallotti High School

The Pallottine Missionary Sisters and the Board of Directors invite candidates to apply for the position of President/Principal of St. Vincent Pallotti High School in Laurel, Maryland. The school strives to achieve its primary goal of developing students’ God-given potential through its dedication to the school’s mission, to the promotion of lifelong commitment to faith and virtue, and to a tradition of academic excellence.

The President/Principal has overall responsibility for the academic and spiritual formation of students, faculty and administration. The President/Principal is responsible for maintaining high academic standards integrated with the teaching of gospel values; and the daily operations of the school consistent with the mission; and adhering to the long-range, fiscally responsible plan. These responsibilities are accomplished in collaboration with the school, parents, Board and Missionary Sisters.

Key duties include:
- Carry out the mission and ministry of the Pallottine Missionary Sisters and ensure the school’s mission is visible throughout the total school community;
- Establish and maintain a rigorous college preparatory curriculum with academic standards which will ensure student academic goals are met as well as continuing accreditation;
- Provide the leadership necessary to attract, develop, empower and maintain the highest caliber faculty and administrative staff;
- Maintain a safe, comfortable, challenging and rewarding spiritual and learning environment and culture for all students;
- Ensure an evergreen long-range plan is in place to accomplish spiritual, academic, athletic, artistic/musical and financial goals and to ensure students receive a well-rounded education in all disciplines;
- Assess future financial needs, establish optimum student body size, and develop a growth plan with realistic, achievable goals and milestones including an ongoing program for institutional advancement and fundraising;
- Establish SVPHS as the school of choice in the geographic area.

Education and experience include:
- Mission-driven Catholic with a passion for Catholic education; proven track record of leadership in a financially sound secondary institution;
- Record of enhancing academic programs;
- Strong knowledge of financial management practices;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills;
- Prefer experience in non-profit organization fundraising/experience developing and implementing strategic plans/experience working with non-profit boards and all constituencies (community, parents, teachers, donors, Sisters, etc.);
- Familiarity with information technology for secondary education;
- Masters degree in Education or related field; 5 + years classroom teaching experience; 5+ years experience in Catholic education, preferred; 3+ years in education administration and leadership.

St. Vincent Pallotti High School is the oldest co-educational college preparatory Catholic secondary school in the Baltimore/Washington, D.C. area. With a student body of 500, the school has a strong foundation and is looking for a President/Principal who will lead them to the next level.
